Egg in beer? Um, no thanks.

Wassail is sweet spiced ale (or wine) and is often served hot. However, I picked up some Full Sail wassail and it was not very sweet and the spiciness seemed to come from the hops.

When you heat beer, or any alcoholic beverage, some of the alcohol will evaporate so you probably want to use a beer with high ABV. A warm drink will keep you warm for a few minutes but alcohol can keep you warm for hours.
