Flying Saucer Sugar Land on Track to Open Saturday

The new Sugar Land location of the Flying Saucer Draft Emporium is currently on track to open this Saturday.  The new location will feature 200 beers with 80 on tap and two built-in cask engines.  They have also included a cellaring area for aging beers and additional storage will allow them to offer a greater variety of appropriate glassware (not just the ubiquitous shaker pint glass for all beers).  As with the other locations, customers will be able to participate in the UFO club and work towards their plate in the Ring of Honor.  There is also a large outdoor patio (great now that the weather has cooled off) and a private room that will be used for beer dinners and special events, like the beer dinner scheduled for Nov 15th with Garrett Oliver, Brew Master of Brooklyn Brewery.  If you’re interested in working at the new location, I believe they are still hiring.

  •   The best water table is probably around 120 to 200 feet deep, and likely of good quality. The presence of bulrush plants shows that shallow water tables exist no deeper than 20 feet. The actual shallow water table is guessed to be approximately 10 feet deep, perhaps less, and the shallow water tables are excellent for trees (no watering needed once trees are established). Nearby properties are not being lived on. Installing a septic system shouldn't present a problem. The nearest electrical lines are about a mile to the west on Davison Road, and about half a mile to the east across the railroad tracks.

  • Listing a ranch for sale with a real estate brokerage can be very intimidating when you're not familiar with how the process works or what tendencies many brokers have to cut corners. Here are the top pitfalls that buyers fall into: DECEPTIVE LISTING AGREEMENTS: The listing agreement is very important to pay attention to because it lays out: how much money you will pay your broker, how much you're going to sell your property for, how long the agreement will last, rather you can work with other brokers and the protocol for terminating the agreement. Beware of any agreements...
