More beer gear of questionable usefulness but undeniable coolness: remote control beer cooler and beer buggy.
This amusing remote-controlled cooler can travel across a patio, rug, or kitchen floor to deliver a well-timed beverage [beer] to parched party guests. With room for 12 cans or bottles and ice, the cooler rolls on four sturdy underside wheels up to 40 feet from the host at the controls. The remote features simple controls that send the cooler forward, backward, and progressively left or right. With sides of water-resistant insulated vinyl and a secure zippered lid, beverages stay cold for hours. The cooler can be carried with the removable shoulder strap and collapses to just 6 1/2″ tall for storage.
This 1:12 scale remote-controlled dune buggy has cup holders that secure two 12 oz. cans or bottles of your favorite beverage [beer], allowing you to dispatch the buggy to the refrigerator or cooler for more libation (willing accomplice not included). The buggy is easy to maneuver using the included two-channel 49MHz radio transmitter, which controls right, left, forward, and reverse movement.
Both are available at Hammacher Schlemmer. The cooler is $70 and the buggy is $50. I think I’ll put both on my Christmas list.
