Greg Koch of Stone Brewing Co, known for it’s Arrogant Bastard strong ale, started his Total Tap Tower Takeover Tour 2010. At Birch and Barley in Washington D.C. Stone Brewing dispensed 40 different beers. As cool as that sounds I found the most interesting comment was how they use the web and social media to sell it’s products with a limited staff in 35 states.
Koch, who employs just 12 sales reps to cover a 35-state territory, says he relies on web sites like beeradvocate.com and ratebeer.com, as well as social media like Twitter, to get the word out. (via The Washington Post)
