InBev To Raise Beer Prices

BRUSSELS, Jan 7 (Reuters) – InBev Belgium, the Belgian arm of Anheuser-Busch InBev (INTB.BR), the world’s largest brewer, will raise beer prices by 3.5 percent from March 15, the group said in a statement on Wednesday.

“In light of the increasing operational costs, Inbev Belgium sees a need to raise the price of its beers from March 15, the statement said. (Reporting by Antonia van de Velde; editing by Elaine Hardcastle)

I thought the big merger was gong to help them cut cost? Well as long as the micros and craft beers can hold their prices there may not be a big price difference between the two.
